Gridiron Spin

Archive

Past college football phrase puzzles with answers and explanations after their daily board has expired. Use the archive to replay older boards, browse categories, or send a spoiler-safe challenge to someone who missed the daily puzzle.

Each archived board keeps the date, category, difficulty, and theme visible so fans can understand why the answer fit that day. Rivalry, bowl, coach, player, stadium, tradition, mascot, trophy, conference, program, slogan, and famous-play clues all live together here.

Archive pages can show more context than the live daily board. Once a puzzle is no longer current, the answer is safe to publish alongside a short explanation and related CFBTrack links for teams, rivalries, standings, player history, and postseason pages.

The goal is not just replay value. The archive is also a searchable college football phrase library for fans who want quick refreshers on famous moments, rivalry names, long-running traditions, and the odd bits of CFB language that come up every Saturday.

How to use past boards

Start with the category if you want to solve instead of simply reveal. A rivalry answer usually points to a named annual game or trophy. A bowl answer can be a current postseason game or a defunct postseason name. A tradition or mascot answer often depends on school-specific culture rather than a box score.

Difficulty describes how broadly recognizable the phrase should be. Easy boards are national CFB language, medium boards often require conference or regional familiarity, hard boards lean on older history or unusual spelling, and Sicko boards are built for fans who like deep cuts.
